
In 1979 Rien de Hart and Arie van Mourik founded HMZ Fashiongroup. They met each other working as sales agents for Mustache and Emmanuelle, which later became Mexx. They started in sales without a direct preference for fashion; over the years, this has naturally grown. Rien and Arie established HMZ Fashiongroup when they were still working for Mexx. At a certain point it was required to choose between the two and they decided to fully focus on their own company. This was the start of HMZ Fashiongroup.
In the beginning, the Hanes sports brand was the core of the HMZ Fashiongroup product range. Nevertheless, Arie and Rien noticed that the American brand didn’t offer enough to serve all customers completely. The portfolio was expanded with Lemon & Soda, a brand that still is one of the showpieces of HMZ Fashiongroup. In the meantime, the collection has been further expanded to be able to offer everything needed in the field of promotional and corporate clothing. This is reinforced with marketing support, The Choice and all necessary channels to draw attention to the collection. The brands are sold to end customers via a dealer network. Corporate social responsibility is central to HMZ Fashiongroup, wihich is evident from our mission and Code of Conduct.
